Gary Swift 7th DanPutting on your Obi...

The correct and traditional method of tying your Obi.
1. Fold your Obi in half.
2. Place the centre fold to the middle of your tummy.
3. Wrap it around your back, crossing it over.
4. Bring the two ends back around to the front. .
5. Cross them over (right over left) and tuck the outside length under all the others so you are left with one at the top and one at the bottom.
6. Take the one at the top (left over right) all around the one at the bottom and pull tight to the sides.
