Urgent Notice for Gunnislake Wadoryu Karate Club & Members.
FAO: Gunnislake Wadoryu Karate Club. LAST CHANCE MESSAGE for Gunnislake Karate Club Members as club WILL be closing, if no response from members, from the 28th of September 2020!
Dear All,
After receiving another email from a student dropping out, referring to the return to training after Covid-Lockdown, I am forced to send out this email.
If you are considering returning to normal weekly Dojo training at Gunnislake Wadoryu Karate Club, possibly in September/October, or even the New Year 2021 (school permitting), please send an email with a YES to garyswifthanshi@gmail.com
Implications: Monday evenings I have to leave at about 5.50pm in order to try and get to Gunnislake at around 6.45pm., (due to rush-hour traffic, accidents, roadworks, Tamar Bridge and Saltash roundabout hold-ups, etc.). The whole round trip can take up to 2-hours and costs about £12 in petrol. The rent for the Dojo is due to increase (this was announced to me in March). Total overall costs £37 per night. To cover this amount I would need at least 8 students, which we barely get on a 'good' training session turnout. In February and March, before the lockdown, we had an average of around four regulars, even though we have 14 on the register.
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
Sensei.
