British Wadokai Students of the Month for 2019!
January 2018 - Aiden Hardacre Kukyu.
Name: Aiden Hardacre
Present Grade. 9th Kyu
Dob. 14/02/2005
Age 14
Club. BWK Manchester
Instructor. Mike Diggle
Why do you train? Because I want to improve
How long have you been training? 4-months
How many sessions per week? 1
Favourite technique. Gyakuzuki
Favourite Food. Steak
Favourite Film. The Incredibles
Sensei's Summary on student:
Aiden Hardacre is one of the dedicated members of the BWK Manchester dojo, every session he comes to he gives 100% effort into his training. On his first day said we would be surprised if he carried on, as he seemed to struggle a lot with co-ordination with any of the movements and didn't seem to be enjoying it whatsoever. Over the weeks that followed Aiden has put in visible effort in learning more about karate, asks why we do things a certain way, tries to understand karate in a way most Dan grades of his age don't even consider.
It's clear that Aiden is working on his karate at home as sometimes in the session you can see he can't grasp what we're doing, but by the next week when we run through it again he can do it.
You can see clearly how much Aiden enjoys karate and has even recruited a friend to join, having somebody there to compete against has just made him work harder and better, no distractions for him.
