The Dame Vera Lynn Trust![]() The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy provides a specialist service for families of young children with cerebral palsy and other motor learning difficulties. Parents and children learn daily living skills together at our School for Parents using the principles of Conductive Education. We support families with babies and children under five years of age.

HemiHelp![]() Hemi-Help Karate Course for hemiplegia sufferers, held at Kingslea School, Horsham (Sussex) on the 23rd September 2012.
Instruction led by Gary Swift Kyoshi and organised by British Wadokai Karate Clubs, Horsham Wado (Gordon Hoare 6th Dan) and Zanshin Wado (Mark Brown 1st Dan, Oren Teichmann 2nd Dan and Robbie Baldock 2nd Dan). HemiHelp is a charity providing support and information to people with hemiplegia and their families in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
What is hemiplegia? Hemiplegia is a neurological condition that weakens one side of the body, and affects up to one child in a thousand. It is sometimes described as a form of cerebral palsy, and the effects are similar to those of a stroke. Find out more about hemiplegia |
